I miss them already!!!

Bailey and Sariah have been so excited for this day to come. They left this morning at 5:00 for Grandma and Grandpa Clayton's house in Idaho, where they will spend two weeks without mom and dad and brothers. We gave them little cameras to take plenty of pictures of all the fun things they do while there. I know they're going to have a blast, but I miss them already!!!

These are some old pictures of the girls.....aren't they adorable?!

Dallin loves Sister Schmittel's spaghetti!

We are so blessed! With my recent injury, we have had numerous meals brought in so I wouldn't have to cook dinner. Among them is Sister Schmittel's spaghetti, which Dallin loves! He asks for it for lunch and dinner, and then again before bed. We actually ran out of it several days ago, so I've been substituting lasagna that Shauna and Jared brought, but he still eats it. I don't know what I'll do when that's gone tomorrow.
I'd like to thank everyone that has offered their kindness. Many meals have been brought over, and my dear mom came and swept and mopped my floors (major relief!) and many others have called to ask if they could pick something up at the store or take the kids. It is so nice to know that we are loved, and that we have someone to turn to in time of need. Thanks!!!

I'm feeling old and brittle!

OK. We had our first softball game last Tuesday, the 12th. I have been so super-excited to play this year because Connie and I put a team together with a whole bunch of really fun girls. So our first game, I decide to slide at second base. It was the second time that night. And my right foot went over the top of the base, but my left foot hit the edge of the base and I felt AND heard a snap, and then pain! I knew it was broken. Luckily, Michelle, David and Jared were there and hauled me off the field and to the ER. I'm so sad that I won't be able to really play softball this year! Oh well. I'm sure I'll get caught up on the scrapbook and sewing again.
FYI
The doctor says I'm young and healthy, and if I'm careful for the next four weeks, I shouldn't need surgery. It's a "borderline break" meaning that I could easily bump it and cause it to shift resulting in the need for surgery. My fibula is broken in two places, diagonal breaks rather than straight across, which also makes for more chance of surgery. So I'm being careful!
